Doug Mellette is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vemark. Since founding Vemark in 1998, Mellette has led the company to its leadership position providing vehicle loss recovery management solutions to major fleet rental carriers and insurance companies across the country. He represents the third generation of the Mellette family who have been involved in the automobile recycling and vehicle remarketing industry for nearly six decades, encompassing extensive experience across several industry segments including auto parts, salvage pools, transportation, wholesale salvage, and procurement.
Charlie Rich
Executive Vice President of Business Development
Charlie Rich is the Executive Vice President of Business Development for Vemark, responsible for expanding the company’s customer base and partnerships. Rich has served the industry with his entrepreneurial spirit for more than 27 years as a technology, service, and insurance professional. He began his career at CCC Information Services, Inc. and was a key player in the early growth of the company. During that time, he was involved in the creation of several industry innovations including the evolution of the DRP concept and the development of data standards. In 2000, Rich co-founded ProcessClaims – the first open architecture web-based auto claims system that revolutionized the industry.
Jon Spurlock
Chief Technology Officer & Chief Information Officer
Jon Spurlock is the Chief Technology Officer and the Chief Information Officer for Vemark, responsible for leading development and delivery of the company’s software products and services, and overseeing all aspects of information technology systems, including cloud infrastructure, data, and security. In his role, he is focused on enabling digital transformation and accelerating business improvement for the company’s clients in the insurance, rental and the vehicle remarketing industry. Prior to joining Vemark, Spurlock served in multiple distinguished technology leadership positions within several leading high-tech industries. He holds a computer science and engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
Michael Ferrari
Director of Marketing
Michael Ferrari is the Director of Marketing for Vemark, responsible for leading strategic marketing initiatives, client engagement, process review and planning. He leads the company’s digital marketing efforts, client engagement, CRM and telephony implementation. Prior to joining Vemark in 2016, Ferrari held a variety of leadership positions in sales, business development and marketing. Ferrari has served in industries ranging from merchant services to insurance.
Jonathan Brody
Director of Operations
Jonathan Brody is the Director of Operations for Vemark. In this role, Brody is responsible for helping drive revenue for SalvageNow.com as well as handling customer and vendor engagement and satisfaction. He joined Vemark in 2011 as an outbound sales representative.
